They don’t know why it has a salvage title? I have some ideas.

Rivets could simply be due to a dash pad change. And just means a buyer does there due diligence on in person inspection. ( should do that any way IMO )

But for me that is about as near a perfect E body as they could make.,,,almost. And if legit isnt priced out of line for the colors and options combo. The title status wouldn't stop me at all.

I’m assuming it’s a “rebuilt” title and if so you could legally drive it, which I would do aggressively and often. It’s a really nice combo and the formal roof e bodies are the only vinyl top cars I like.

I just found it intriguing that somebody felt the need to hand make those rivets instead of buying some or even just leaving them alone. Looks shady to go at it this way IMO.

20-25 years ago. or maybe sooner you couldn't find the correct rivets. So you make do with what you have at the time.

Like mentioned, I would just look a little closer if I was a buyer ,,,,and I am not.

Nice Challenger. I like it a lot. I don't see M91-luggage rack on the fender tag. I'm assuming that the rack was added.

Ah, Kassabian's - been around for a long time, wonder why the name change ?
Looks like a decent driver car, with a few curiosities:
orange showing through hood latch support
zolotone trunk
rear speaker switch
pounded oil pan
VIN rivets - hopefully a dash pad change some time ago

Salvage title could be from a lot of things, of course: theft recovery, wreck, flood...requires a careful inspection & detective work.

IMO a much better option to add versus the wing.

I've always had a soft spot for racks on an E-body. Back in the day I put one on my 73 Challenger. I still have the car. However, after restoring it, I opted for a 71 wing, which I like also.

I too think the rack is the way to go on e bodies. The trunk is pretty weak at this price point.

I wonder what's up with all the missing engine, trans and trunks paint? Somebody a little to aggressive with a Hotsy or the wash down after a salt bath? Appears to be a fresh bomb can job on the bottom side.

Definitely would have to do some history checking. The title issue wouldn't scare me but the salt bath would. Current owner's had it for 10 years? OK, where did he get it from? are the body stampings present?

Anyone notice the black speedo needle??? tach seems a bit faded as well

245/60/15s on the front & 235/60/15s on the rear

AC should work to pull the big bucks. No mention of it and I get a bad feeling when looking at the parts.

I agree. Somehow they just look right to me, and the wing doesn't.

My friend who ran a junk yard would salvage title clean cars if they had high back fees on them. Then he would take it next door to a shop where they would clear the required inspection for $40. He had hundreds of cars that way. Sure do miss ‘Red’, he was a cool Mopar dude.

Yeah, on the interstate one day. Pretty sure it was on the interstate going to the Nats and it was being put to use.

Awful. Ruins the lines of the car. The only car that looks worse with a luggage rack is the 70 Charger.
