Another faked Hemi on BaT - BS23R0B219199 - 08/09/23 10:10 PM

The body was reported in 2012 with no VIN or fender tag, the person asking about it then thought it may have been a 383 car. I recommended that he apply for a state issued VIN, now it has a counterfeit VIN tag - BS23R0B219199

Cowl stamp matches the 22 inch radiator support number on a FAKED Hemi car. scope

So what would be necessary to legally own it?
Could it still be confiscated from a new owner? If bought, would you still need to apply for a state VIN?

What is it worth as just a nonoriginal cool car?

So...22" radiator support, original body # stampings, AND VIN tags that contradict those stampings ?!

The 22" radiator support is almost funny, but the rest - if I'm reading this right - is asking for trouble...

If it has a fake title to match the counterfeit VIN tag, there is no way to transfer ownership legally.

The car could be confiscated at any time.

If the current owner could get the current titled state (Texas?) to assign a vin with a new title then all SHOULD be good title wise.
Had a customer buy a car at BJ with a funky title / VIN. Magically the state of Ne assigned a VIN which is unheard of. I'm thinking BJ made some influential phone calls whistling shruggy

I think it’s really hard to say. A hot potato for sure and who’d want to get involved for any real money and risk it? A state issued vin would help tremendously obviously. Thing is the paint looks cruddy and doesn’t speak well for what’s under it.
