Whackee wagon going up at auction - 05/12/23 02:18 AM
For someone who might be interested.
I thought Clark Rand had it after Brad Harms had it. Wonder why it is at the Sheriff's auction.

No visible VIN. I bet they didn't open the door.

Was in PA for quite awhile before going back to MN. As for the auction...it all relates to a certain purple convertible and some unpaid debt.

My question would be which one it is. Years ago, Lee Smith used to come out to Cecil's (Yother) and we'd all hit a motorcycle swap meet or whatever.
(The AWB guys tended to remain friends long after the heyday).
Lots of stories, and more than a few jokes in the air.
There were 2 of those wagons: the original, and a 2nd unfinished one, which a subsequent owner finished.

Anyone have a link if it exists to the auction

This is the first one...the second one became the red car that Jim Hale was running in Stock the last few years.

^^^ Thanks for the info...glad to see #2 didn't get mis-represented.
Kinda surprised #2 could run in Stock; I don't recall it's build details but thought it was tubbed & etc.

I thought it went through Reed Koeppe's hands a few years ago. Tried to find a link, where is it?

To me, it reads as in person only.
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office will be holding an execution sale (public auction)
at the Houston County Highway Department located at 1124 E. Washington Street
Caledonia, MN at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
Items can be viewed 1 hour prior to the auction.
Winning bids are payable the day of the sale by cash or cashier's check. (yes, I know this is posted at the top of this thread)

They aren't selling it anymore:
The Houston County Sheriff's Office was going to hold a sale/auction to enforce a court order. Our office was informed that the parties involved came to a mutual agreement and the property was returned to the owner. Our office has no further involvement with the parties or the property.

Darn...would have liked to see it move somewhere else.
