here is a pass Big Jim made with his new to him
37 chevy street gasser, Jim raced one back in the day and then he just found a good replacement for his old car.
looks like fun, cant wait to be doing that with my truck,
hopefully early in 2012...

congrats Jim for having some drag racing fun....

hey ron
cool vid. is this the same big jim as in 41 willys ?been following that build to see how things are going so i can see how i can do on my own.was his drag 37 brown?

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the kind words on my old Chevy Gasser.
And yes I still have the 41 Willys and my 64 Dodge 330 (both are works in process).
These days I work very very slow..... HA

That was a 11.98 112 pass.
Talked to Big Jim the other day and you can tell he was having some good fun that day

Hey Dave,
I enjoyed the 37 Coupe a bunch since I had one back in the 60's.

My 79 Dodge Challenger will always have a special place in my heart... it was the fastest car that I have owned and raced to date. My best time was 9.20 at 150 MPH before an aluminum rod let go and my Alky Injected 470 Lowdeck B-1 motor went south on me! OUCH $$$$$$

Guess I have slowed down a lot since then...just a few years away from the big "Seven 0". LOL

Hey Jim,At least you had one good pass in your "8 sec ride"(remember us on that thread at Mopar Style?) My 8 sec'er went south too...to Australia! HaHa Never got a pass in. Oh well... i have more hot rods in me!
