another COE started - 06/12/09 10:49 PM

this week I started another Coe project, this one is a 46 dodge COE that I am going to make in to a COE PU I got it mounted on a 1993 Dakota chassis this week and I plan to use the 5.2EFI and 518 trans in it,
the chassis is going to be shortened about 24-30" in the middle and the engine is going to be mounted under the seat area
not sure if this one will get chopped or sectioned but we will see as it goes along. Ron...

it will look something like this one

There you go again Ron, if I dont get one thing gone and keep going back and forth on projects, I am blaming you. I still know where that COE is close to me. Darn you any how.

I gotta stop reading Ron's threads... He gets more done on several projects than I get done on just one!

I know what you mean. But I've got to thank Ron for motivating me to go out to the garage and finally tear into the 70 Charger project that's been sitting for 2 1/2 yrs. Gutted the engine bay pulled the dash and air box, welded some holes, straightened the radiator support and started sanding. It felt good so..... here's to you Ron and keep up those COE threads. I like odd custom hotrods. I think I spotted a 40's Diamond T that needs to be followed up on

I have to admit that this project has come to a stall as I have been working on the racetruck hood scoop and making the bed for it and fitting the rear fenders.
Oh and helping Jon work on getting his duster up and running It's almost ready to fire up,sometime this week

I might have to stop on all MY projects and get the 48 Ply coupe up and running and get some pain on it , no body want it as a roller so I will just have to put it together and get more $$$$$ for ot Ron...

P.S. is good to know that I inspire people to work on their projects

Ron, I think if you got the Plymouth at least close to running, got the steering done and remove the minor rust and get it all primed one color, it would sell easier.
The pictures don't convey all the work you have done.

Re: another COE started - 07/20/09 02:28 AM

John, when I stared the 48 I had plans to finish it and sell it as a done car but with all the projects that I have I figured just let this one go with the work that has been done and get on to other cars, but the economy has taken alot of the guys that would like a project like this away so I keep lowering the price on it to the point where "ALL" the work I put into it was done for free
I just want this car gone, I am so past wanting to do it "BUT" if it does not sell this time on Ebay I am just going to finish it and sell it as a done car and hope it brings decent $$$$$ finished, but that means that the racetruck and the 46 coe will have to wait a few more months
oh well thats how it goes sometimes Ron...
