Wiring harness brands, who to use for street rod?

I'm at the point that I need to buy a wiring harness for it, 1940 Ford Tudor with nothing original inside and stock nice sheet metal on the body.
I want run electric windows, electric door locks, air conditioning, radio with some sort of recorded music player, nothing exotic as far as watts and multiple speakers, front and rear speakers is what I'm planning on now. cruise control, turn signals with standard head and taillights with turn signals.
I've look at Summit but no were else so far.
Who do you recommend and like .
I recently saw a comment on a Painless wiring harness being too short on a lot of the wires, not sure if it was universal kit or any other details on it though
I wire two drag race cars for a local a drag racer up here years back and use Painless kits on both with no real issues that I'm remembering now

When making a choice, you might want to consider whether the wires at the fuse box are permanently attached or if the fuse box has screw terminals...I prefer screw terminals.

I hadn't thought of that so this is a big help to avoid having to deal with not having the choice to put which wire on which terminals now and in the future

Nope, no store bought stuff, hand wire it from scratch. Should only set the project back by a year.

That would certainly be way past anything I could do. I don't have enough years left to do anything like that, a complete wiring system would be a requirement for me.

Which wiring kits use the screw on terminals at the fuse block?

I agree with the American Autowire suggestion. I just rewired my '70 Challenger using their kit. Very straight forward, easy to follow wiring diagrams, worked out great. I know they offer universal kits you could use. Years ago I used a Painless kit on a '70 Charger. Definitely NOT Painless! I also have built systems from scratch using a HayWire (if I remember correctly) kit.

whatever one decides to do, use a kit or start from scratch, make sure to sketch out a diagram of the circuits in the system.
a simple pencil drawing will do. unless, of course, you are an engineer or architect having lots of colored pencils and a compass and straight edge.
all kidding aside, a schematic of the system will be of great value if any trouble[s] arise in the future.

I've wired 4 cars from scratch with EZ Wire harnesses. The first one took some time as it was the first time I'd wired a car from scratch. The second one took a day. The 4th one took less than a full day, and I had to integrate a harness for an LS swap as well.

If you use an EZ Wire harness, take a few hours to read the manual completely and trace out and understand the schematic. Once you have your head around it the install is a breeze. The toughest thing for me to get my head around is always the dome lights for some reason.

Is that one question or two ? The not powered relay is because of the pilot error at the time on behalf of this idiot. Yes, there is one flasher for turn and one for hazards.

This the back side of the panel, I think you can see why I was having trouble for the PHOTO SHOOT.

Now, that looks more like my wiring, except all of my stuff looks like that! I think it looks like your missing about 20 wires.

I am curious as to why you have all those wires connected to the blue wire through the yellow connecter when you have all those available screw in stripes available? Wouldn't it be better to have the blue wire hooked to one of the screws on stripe with a couple jumper wires on the hot side, then pair up the fed wires through 2 or 3 terminals?
