A buddy has a 35 Dodge truck with bolt-on wheels and he wants to change it to later model stud type, where to find the conversion studs?

Got mine from Jegs drill out to size then press in. Worked well on my 47 truck.

why not just get some screw in studs like you use for race axles ? they have a thin head, so they "should" clear the brake components, but will require all the drums to be right side, so as to not require left hand threads. my 33 humpback panel, however, had all right hand threads, making the bolt to stud change on the front hubs easy by using grade 8 allen hex head bolts. next option would be as was suggested, by using studs and drilling the drum to match the knurl, pressing in as normal installation.if going that route, i would suggest moroso part # 46220. it is a 3" dog nose stud with a .563 knurl, or the equivalent in another brand of choice. i believe this is a GM application. drill the hub to 35/64 [.546] on a drill press, press in the studs, done. hope this helps.

Some trailers use a 1/2"-20 screw-in lug stud.
