rear window question for my '33 - 04/12/15 02:28 PM

I talked to a guy a while ago that said he had everything to make the back window roll up and down in my '33. What's something like that worth? How hard is it to put it in?

i have part of a stock unit like that on a 34----looks like a primitive roll up side window (wood parts)---think it would be fairly simple to use an old 60,s truck unit to make one------or just use a flat window cherokee power unit....i would think if he charges more than 3 hours labor he is learning at the same rate as you....

I would be just buying the parts from him and installing it myself. I like the jeep Cherokee idea tho to. It was awhile ago that I talked to him, he might not even have it still.

this window should be very similar in size to a 33-34 ford. i believe there are a few outfits that have repo kits for this. if i remember correctly, they consist of a regulator and the wood framework needed for installation. or maybe that is two kits ? anyhow, other than the glass size, maybe something like that could be utilized ? i used to have a catalog from "macs auto parts" or something like that from, i think newyork state. i'll see if i can look that up, or you could investigate on line. i think they have a web site. don't know if this was any help or not.
