Ha Ha! No way Eric!
I have a 68 road runner to work on yet. It will need quarters, trunk replaced, and paint. As slow as I work that will be my last project! LOL
I still have a couple things to do to the Allstate, and should have them done this winter.
I saw this old truck for sale in the auction and thought I would post the link here.

I'd say that old girl needs a proper stock restoration. Or a good once over and tune and drive it as is. Seems too complete and rare to rod it, IMO.

the very first "T-bucket" was based off that truck.

The T buckets turned into Fords because there were a lot more Fords available, and they were cheap. Even back in the day, cheap and easy were the words to live by, then what followed was "copy what everyone else did". When you didn't have to figure anything out, and the project could be on the road a lot faster.
