I'd say that old girl needs a proper stock restoration. Or a good once over and tune and drive it as is. Seems too complete and rare to rod it, IMO.

the very first "T-bucket" was based off that truck.
the originator was a dodge truck.
how it ended up fords? i have no idea...

The T buckets turned into Fords because there were a lot more Fords available, and they were cheap. Even back in the day, cheap and easy were the words to live by, then what followed was "copy what everyone else did". When you didn't have to figure anything out, and the project could be on the road a lot faster.
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Gene
