What color for my project???? I am thinkign of a mopar color that can be used for a rod but not closed minded to other ideas. I am thinking that the car would look nice in maybe plum crazy or curious yellow or--Both?????
I am still hoping to go pick it up next wednesday!

For an idea check out this 37 Pontiac, should give you an idea what a similar body style would look like in that color.

Too many hot rods are purple and yellow. I would do something different yet subtle. Black, white, silver...

I can tell you I am all over the place when it comes to color. I really like the first car Ron posted at the same time lets see if I can get some of the one's I have been looking at for ideas to post on here. I like this two tone here because it lends to the nice two tone interior combo.

another option I dont know about the Salmon top but I like the bottom color and maybe a silver or orange on top.

another one this comes across as a very formal color combo, I almost see this as a wedding car or something. I think this would be a nice silver with a purple or blue.

Wanna see Yellow...this is just to much yellow for me. My dad has a yellow 48/49 Dodge Panel and I really think its a color that needs to be broken up because it is just to much.

I know you are focusing right now, but it really depends on how much money you have at that point, and what theme you are going for.
I've had an ultimate paint job the whole time (Black with flames), but my second choices have changed a bit over the years. A friend's '46 Plymouth was done in a stock Blue, my dad's 40 Ford Maroon, and even the current Gray (too much like primer with shine). Thought about Petty Blue, but the more I see other '40s online, a mild lighter color seems best. I don't need Resale Red or Screamin' Yellow on mine.

They made a color called deep cranberry pearl coat. That would be awesome...

I think it would look good in Dodge Inferno Red, but here is a local in 1992 Deep Pruple HAze from GM. (I think it was a camaro color.)

rear shot. By the way, this is built on a Dodge Dakota chassis. (Note the 6 lug wheels.)

I like the idea of bright red with black, the purple and yellow just seems like to much for ME, but it's your car Dave so I say get someone with some photo shop skills and see what they can make happen. It would be interesting to see what someone can come up with give the time with photo shop.

I think F6 green is a very nice color but I loved the candy red with black cherry fenders that was on my old humpback

get an earlier dakota with the 5 on 4.5 pattern--- I used a similar clip on my 50 hudson using police wheels and it fits great---bob
