...to work with stock Dodge Dakota wheel studs. (The 41 Dodge is going on a Dakota frame)

When I bought them (used) they came with centers that were 1.5" thick. There were no threads on the wheel stud beyond the hole in the wheel. They were only held on by the threads in the lug nut shank....nothing in the head of the lug nut.

I fixed that. I had pockets milled into the wheels to get full thread engagement. I now have little windows where the lug holes hit the center hole, but that is minor compared to failing lug nuts at highway speeds.

just a thought.... you mite want to consider a way to radius the top & bottom of the "windows" that were created by the pocket milling into the hub center area to prevent stress cracks. not sure that mite happen, but it's possible.

Can I ask where you found the six lug Halibrands?

I think longer studs might have been a solution?

I never could find a long stud that fit the front of a 2001 dakota

Maybe its just the angle of the pictures, but it looks like a lot of material was removed from the hub sidewalls and lug holes. I'd be concerned with loss of rigidity in the mounting area.

There is still .800" of unmolested metal under the lug nut washer.

With the knock-off center caps

and the tires that will go on them. 215/50/17 front and 285/60/18 rear. The Dodge should have a pretty good rake to it!

The lugs fit like I planned.

The socket just barely has clearance

I doubt you compromised the strength at all.
Looks Great!
