41 plymouth hood question

hi, will a 42 s/deluxe hood fit on a 41 s/deluxe? loren

i think not. my hollander says the 41 is p# 911673[top] and 940742-3 [sides.]
while the 42 is p# 983145[a 2pc, but single unit]. this will also fit the 46-48 if you use the 46 "medalion".

im sorry,i dont understand.my hood is a solid one piece (41)it dont have sides.

it's more than likely a "unit" comprised of 3 pcs.[top and sides]. just basing this on the info from hollander. if the 42 is indeed like the 46-48, the hood is just 2 pcs, as the "sides" are integral [formed] with the top halves, which are then covered with the center trim pc. got any pics ?

rod, according to your pic, the 42 sure looks a lot like the 46-48 hood. as to the "sides" of the 41 hood refered to by hollander, are they possibly "part" of the fenders ?
