Chassis Certification , I need a number - 11/29/11 08:49 PM

I need to get my Dart certified. I found the number to Clarksville , Tenn. But was wondering if there might be someone closer to Huntsville , Alabama. I had heard that somewhere close to Montgomery , Al they do them or drive to you, but couldn't find the number anywhere.

Call your NHRA Divisional office, talk to the tech director. Tell him you need to cert your chassis and where you are. He will know everyone in your area that can do this. Also, over the winter it's not unusal for tech guys to hold chassis certification workshops in many areas of the country where they are at a shop and everyone takes their car there.

Most NHRA tracks will have a cert day or a weekend
so call your local NHRA track

Yes call your local NHRA Div office. I have had mine done at a highway exit off I-71 when Pinkie RIP lived in Columbus Ohio. He met me at the exit in a parking lot and did it for me.
The Div office will help you decide where to get it done, basically got to hookup with one of the NHRA tech guys who can do it.
Don't forget to tip them if they make a special trip just for you. My

Thanks for that info. When I had my cuda certified, I was in Baton Rouge. I got to leave my car on the trailer and just pulled the doors, decklid, and hood off for inspection.

Did Pinkie do yours on/in the trailer?

When Pinky did mine I took my car to where he worked...
I had to pull it out so he could get at it(enclosed
trailer)... took him about 45 minutes.... of course
all the employees wanted a burnout when he finished..
I asked Pinky and he said go for it.... so I did
