New best in Duster 5.23 @ 134 at Norwalk

Well my experiment with the 400 turbo is over. I put the glide back in and took the Duster to the Halloween Classic at Norwalk and it was .24 and 6 MPH in the 1/8 mile than the previous best with the 400 turbo. I was also .02 and 2 MPH faster than the previous best with the glide. It is still hard to believe it takes that much more HP to turn a 400 turbo but the proof is in the ET slip. Well I guess I have a $4000 pile of aluminum to trip over in the garage.

how much of a difference was there between the 2 converters?

thats hauling for sure,its a shame that the 400 will become a piece of furniture.

Jack between you and bigdog stepping up to new bests I better have my act together when I get the Daytona repaired. The 440-1's will be going in the corner and the B1's will be put into action. You guys are running GREAT.

I actually tried 2 9" (ATI and Coan) convertors and both ran about the same. The second one was set up for the 400. I put the second one in with the glide. The 60' (1.20) was the same between the 2 transmissions. The launch RPM and trap RPM were the same also (4600 and 7300)just faster et and mph.
