Adjustable hydraulic valvetrane - 10/21/11 01:05 AM

I know this has been asked before but cannot find in search.
I have a 470 (400) with a Lunati 512 lift hydraulic cam and a set of Source heads and was wondering if there is any benefit of running adjustable rockers for a mostly street driven car? I have a well used set of factory hydraulic rockers in it now.If adjustable are the way to go, any recomendations and how to measure for pushrods? If factory setup is the way to go where can I find new rockers (seems everybody is out of them).

Measure the length to the rocker from the base circle
then add .020 to that length that will be the push
rod length.... as for the rockers you could use the
stock stuff... cant help you as to where to get them

I don't know big blocks much , but my small block with a mild hydraulic ( .480 lift and 238 @ .050 ) and decent springs punched a push rod through the rocker.
You don't need adjustability , but durability could be an issue.
There are H.D. stamped rockers out there , and this might be a nice choice for you.
I couldn't see forking out for T&D's , but an upgrade would not be a bad idea.

I used the mopar adjustable pushrods way back on an xe284. They've worked well every since. I believe they are still available (search).

FWIW, stock and HD Mopar rockers are the same thickness.

I was at summit racing last week end and looking though the scratch/dent and discounted isle and saw a bag full of big block mp rockers. Don't recall the price but are usually less that retail. I know this doesn't help you it was at the store in akron. You could call them and ask it they still have them.
