both cars are well past the tree, the block in the middle of the track is the 60 foot clock/beam . I did leave first though, by .060 ....however the air had changed by 1500 feet and i only ran a 8.70 to his 8.63....margin of victory was .01 !!! Sucks, and yea im getting a weather station soon ! I had gone an .56 in the morning and and i slowed the car down with an adjustment, So and 8.69 and i would have won. Thats how close this racing is

Beat by a Mazda....OH The Shame.....J/K Have always enjoyed seeing your car run....bet the whole deal was a blast

I can't wrap my head around the reasoning for weight rules though in an index door car class....

I can understand the weight rule due to .400 tree.... but beyond that it should be anything goes simply because everyone needs to run the same number. All these cars hook and are capable of running well under the number. I'd sure like to try it sometime but my car doesn't really fit the rules, even though it makes weight.

Re: e town 8.50 - 10/13/11 11:45 PM

the class was born at Atco raceway. A very big bracket racing track. A lot of the rules were put into place to keep super pro type cars out of the class. Why? well it was conceived as a class to race "street type" cars in a fast and somewhat economical format. Cars that at that time were not really competitive in Atcos Q8 program (which now is 10.5 racing )Thats why you see so many types of cars in the class, they are not competitive or the owners dont want to dump tons of money to be cometitive in thier heads up class.(Drag radial, outlaw 10.5 etc) It was meant for cars that did not want to upgrade to the new (at that time) 25-5 chassis cert. Although now almost all the cars are certed 25-5 and yea they are all mostly 7 and very low sec cars. not too many REAL Street cars in this class though.
