My Engine Is Finally Ready

My Engine Is Finally Ready - 10/12/11 06:41 PM

Today I primed the oil system and checked it all over
for oiling to the rockers... this engine (416 ci) uses
PR oiling... all that looked good... no leaks in
my pan that I made... the oil system now is a 9 qt
system.... so now its time to put the engine in the
Rampage and build the headers.... I'm pretty happy today

I love the look of the reverse lip valve covers.. I have had many people ask me if im running a BBC because of the VC size. Some people cant read MOPAR PERFORMANCE cast right in them...

Nice Mike!!

Not really... should be in the 525-550 hp range...
pump gas, 10.53 compression, W-5 heads w/2.08 intake
valves, ported w/310 cfm at .650, cam is a 260/262
640/640 with a 105 LSA in at 105, TD rockers, M1 intake...
right now it has a 850 on top but I do have a 1050...
I only want the Rampage to run 10.1 - 10.2 ... this
is my street rod/drag week car.... this engine is
pretty much built from parts I had laying around the
shop other than the pistons

Re: My Engine Is Finally Ready - 10/12/11 09:37 PM

Thanks guys... I'll see how it turns out after I
make a couple of passes and how it acts on the street...
I think it should be fine... with that 105 cam it
should have a lot of thump to it.... it might sound
fast..... even if it isnt

You may have to slow it down to get that 10.1-10.2 time slip.

I might have to... for running drag week I will put
a mech throttle stop on it due to the quickest I can
run is a 10.8 for the class I'm going in

Hurry up already. Can't wait to see it running ( and finished ). I found a Rampage up in the mountains a couple of weekends ago- my wife kept asking me why I was looking at it.

Mike I had my 1050 converted to a 2 circuit using blp blocks and boosters and it made it work really well on the street, might be worth a try if you want to use a dominator. I gave them all my specs and it worked well just dropping the parts in.

Yeah IF I do go with my 1050(8896) I will change it
to a 2 circuit .... I might not need the 1050 since
I'm limited to 10.0... but I'll find out
