It is a small 3 prong voltage regulator on back of the instrument cluster.

Can`t help you there............how would you guys feel about racing me at Irwindale`s 1/8th mile track when my heaps done? I MIGHT have a better chance there.

That little things called a voltage limiter and if you search ALLPAR you can find a replacement that uses some Radio Shack components that supercede that piece, OR...ebay!

Are you sure it has a separate 3 prong voltage limiter behind the dash..
I thought in 71 & later it was integrated into the fuel gauge..
Just my $0.02..
