Better air, good ET

On Saturday morning, we got some good air during time trials at Maryland International Raceway.

11:30am, 69ºF, 43%RH, 30.45"Hg, that is about 200 ft DA.

It was an 1/8th mile race, so no 1/4 times:

1.244 sixty foot (slicks have 160 passes on them)
5.778 ET
117.4 mph

I figure that would be about 9.15 ET in the 1/4 for my car.
In the spring it went 5.799, 9.189. So 9.189 x (5.778/5.799) = 9.15

That high pressure was awesome. If the temperature would have been a little lower it would have been "mineshaft" air (negative Density Altitude). The air was pretty dry too, but not desert air. Low humidity seems to be faster than the equations say, but this part of the country is very humid. That evening (9pm) it was 100% RH and dew was forming on the cars.

That was the first pass of the day, and I felt the launch was extremely good for my car. When I got the timeslip, I saw the 1.244 sixty foot. On the next day (Sun) of the two day double header, it did another 1.244 sixty foot in the morning. As the day warmed up, most sixty foots were 1.25
