Although that green is a very nice color, I dont like it on a big B-body. Your original colors are meant to be.

What other choices are you giving us Randy... I like
the green on the RR you show... thats quite a bit different
than the green on your car... post up your car and some
other colors that you MIGHT like.... I dont know that
many colors(my Crayon box only had 8 colors

)

Mike...I like the Rallye Green,as well! But,I can't say I like it any better than the original F-5! I like them both!

I also like BLACK...certain shades of BLUE..MAROON...and REAL dark red...like a Black Cherry! The entire car will be re-done,so I can go with pretty much ANY color! Just wanted some opinions on this DIFFICULT choice!

Greg..Yes..I'm not a big drinker,by any means! But,I do enjoy the taste of a GOOD beer once in a while! And Mr. Mike(P-Body)can confirm,I do share my "stash" with GOOD FRIEND'S!

Air Brushing?...that's interesting!

I had the same thoughts...maybe a little sumthin' on the roof line..along the c-pillar...like the lace work on the Project Six-Pack car! Give me some ideas,if you have any!

I like unique designs! There's an oldtimer around here...I believe he's in the Mt. Clemens area,goes by the name "Wild Bill" who was known back in the 60's and 70's for his Gold Leaf lettering!....which has been on my WANT LIST for a long,long time!

Green and Gold have been one of my favorite color combos for years!...even though I can't stand Notre Dame!

I've always loved the darker greens so my vote would be to stick with the F5. The F5 exterior with the black accent and interior looks great on that car.

Brad...YES IT DOES! Just before I bought it,some 15 yrs. ago...a CHEAP..single stage paint job was thrown on it! LOTS of flaws and imperfections!...including "marbleing"! It's LONG OVER-DUE!

Pictures do it a WORLD of justice,believe me!

If ANY of you have pics of B-Body's...especially GTX's and Road Runner's in DARK RED,or Black Cherry,could you please post them? I'd REALLY appreciate that!

I would look at paint chips from Volvo they have a killer green on their charts..

Gm pickup green is actually really nice when its fresh with thicker mill clear than factory clear..

and the dodge pu truck green for 04 is very close to Ralley green...

Might be too risky given the value of an "X", but have you considered loosing the vynal top?

My dart was a vynal top car and I ditched it when it was painted. Also got rid of the drivers side fuel door on the rear quarter...nice clean look. Again...not sure you'd want to alter an "X" quite that much, it's a big decision but something to ponder....

Good choice staying with green as its a great color on an "X"...either one will work IMHO

Randy I have one more on my home computer, but have to resize it to post it here. Chucks car actually has a painted top. The stickers pay money if you win so I can understand having them, but the car is a VERY nice piece.

Stubeck is his last name and he is from the California area. Moparts member "Troy" is friends with him IIRC. Not sure on the correct term for the color. Never been a numbers matching type. Heck I painted my Dad's B5 matching #'s Super Bee, Viper Red. It's what he wanted.

I like different ; my triple black car was originally light green.

Paint it whatever color suits You !

Personally, I like maroon/dark red in that body style but black is allways a good choice

It was a toss up for me between F6 and Snakeskin green.When i walked in the shop after it was painted i initially thought what the hell did i do.But then we rolled it out into the sun and loved it.

LOL... back when I was in high school my buddy painted
his 64 Ply with a multiple of colors... it blended
from a maroon in the front to a gold in the rear...
it was a sweet paint job(and I'm sure it cost him
a pile to have done) .... for me I only had the 8 crayon
box so colors to me are hard to figure out.... but I
know what I like when I see it
