1 wire alt. / trunk mounted battery

i have a 1 wire alt on my car 6 gauge wire to the kill side of the kill switch.my ? is the alt. keep craping out.put one on a week ago tues. it was charging and sun. at the track it stoped.i made sure the batt. was fully charged but for some reason it kills them .any help would be great. thanks brad

I had the same problem and went through 3 alts, then realized the it was a bad ground. I had to run a ground strap from alt case to eng block.Good luck Brad

Run a ground strap from the alt to the block. You can also run the charge wire from the alt to the battery lug of the starter to shorten up the length of the charging wire.
