New Cam

New Cam - 09/30/11 02:16 AM

Installed my new cam shaft today. I had to pulled the motor out. The guys of competition cams told me it needed a little bit of grinding for the roller lifter, so I did just a little bit and everything is fine. This is the first time I install my Cam straight up at 106 degrees, no advance. the roller has 268 duration at 0.50 and 276 exhaust, custome grind. My old cam was a Mopar solid 590 for the last six years. No complains with the Mopar.

Why not just run the tie bars facing away from the block? I have run them like that many, many times in a big block. I mean how does the wheel and cam know which way the tie bar is facing? What did Comp say?

small block, not a big block the push rod will hit the tie bar diferen angle

Looks good... I glue screen into the intake valley to
cover the holes so if you break anything in the top like
a push rod or rockers or lash caps (if you use them)
so it cant get in the cam or crank and cause more problems

power increase maybe 30 to 35 HP. My ET's are low tenths. There is no tracsion on this airport. My comp part number for the Cam is #20-000-9, grind CRS-4207/4205 R 106.0
In your video looks like you are using a 3 links Australian suspension, how well do they work? My friend let me borrow one today and I'm putting it on my car for the next race.
