is there a easy way to see if you have enuff or to much restriction in the fuel bypass before running doing something bad on the car/motor?
got half inch pick up sending unit,1/2 new alum line run up to bg belt drive pump
comes out of the pump with -8 and up to a tee carb side goes to a 4 port regulator with 4 -6 lines running to the carbs
the return coming off the tee has a poppetin the -6 back to the tank with a bout 1 pound of spring pressure
is this enuff pressure to supply gas to the carbs?i know it has to have more of a restriction then the needles have or the fuel will simply all run back to the tank

Sounds like you need a 7 pound spring? Or whatever you want your pressure at.

^^^^^^^^what he said plus you can set/check it with a leakdown gauge. your poppet should also hold a jet for fine tuning the volume you return to the tank.

i took the poppet apart to make sure no trash in it
has spring and a type of seat with like 6 small holes in it
