My Norwalk experience this year.................... - 09/19/11 06:15 PM

was GREAT. Much better than last year. The lady at the gate was very helpful, the tech guy was cool, everyone was very friendly. This was the first time I've ever run at Norwalk and the track is great, nice and sticky. heh...

Met a whole bunch of guys from moparts and abodiesonly. Told Wild Bill the racer wristbands were an ugly color (they were blue.)

Did two time trials in Sportsman, then decided to run Gamblers. First round light .060, second round .006 (hoped for a bye but didn't get it), third round light a dismal .157. By that time it was almost 11:00 at night and I was so tired, I slept at the tree and gave it away. Yeah, excuses, excuses...I was pretty happy with my lights as it was only my second time out this year.

I went out first round in Sportsman on Sunday with an -.043 red. Then I walked the pits and went in the bleachers and took pictures. Anyone who wants a full size of any of these shots, let me know.

I violated Wild Bill's pit area....wanted to see how his car would look in a nice color.

Saw you drive by our pit after a run and tried to yell at ya but you didn't hear me ---- we were parked next to Wild Bill.... Oh well maybe some other time we shall meet.

really nice pictures and i also have give props to all the people's cars i normally dont even look at cars older then 1966 im just not a fan...BUT U GUYS OUT THERE HAD SOME AWESOME LOOKIN RIDES,AND BUILT REAL NICE especially the 65 maroon dart that u see only the back 1/2 of...cudos to all that went there.and dustergirl for the real nice pictures you shared.

Hey Kath,

It was nice to meet you!!! I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had to leave around 6:00PM to make it to Summit & then get home to see my 2 nieces before they went back home to Florida.

Next year I'll have my Duster there & spend the weekend!!

glad your time was well spent this year. i went to your pit area several times but you were out racing or some other form of fun. caught you on the way out, hope to see you come back next year.

I went by your pit, didn't see anyone, but the car was there...? I thought I got a picture of it, but I can't find it now.

I would love to get there on Thursday morning...the hubby has been working mega overtime so we couldn't do it this year. I was just happy he managed to get a couple days off.

Kathryn..nice pics! Thanks for posting them! The ONLY time I saw you and Tim..is when you were on your way out,Sunday afternoon! Glad you had a good time racing! Norwalk IS the BEST! Hope to see ya at Milan next spring! Never did make it out there this year ...maybe the "Health God" will be easier on me next season! Hope you guys have a good off-season! Randy

I posted all my "good" pictures, but I did find one horrible blurry one with your car in it. Seems like you were right next to me in the staging lanes at one point, if that's indeed your car.

This pic is almost as bad as the Double Vision photography ones. KIDDING...

What's the story on this 'Cuda? Obviously a "street" car, which is what makes it and the number on the window so COOL!!
