I wont be able to make it this year... I still cant
drive a street car yet after having eye surgery... I
would have liked to drive my truck there for Fridays
heads up and stayed over night in the sleeper and
watched Saturdays event.... good luck to all of you

With any luck I'll be insulating, blowing cellulose into the garage/shop walls Saturday.

With ridiculous, amazing luck...I'll be hanging drywall Sunday and taping Monday.

Gotta keep after the shop project...almost done.

Funny you should mention that. My wife and I were there a few years ago and saw a guy go down across the road from RO23's pit. She has been a critical care nurse for 15 years so she went over and helped him. It was plenty hot that day, I felt like passing out myself!

We have previously attended and it is a very nice track, however, I refuse to attend any Mopar Event that is only a One Day Deal. It costs us as much in diesel and turnpike tolls for one day as it does for a two or three day event. When you have to leave at 5am drive for 4 hours, unload, race and load again and get back on the pike at 10 in the evening it makes for a very long day with no relaxation at all. Now that they have gone to one day, I don't know with out a lot of promotion that they could make it into a week-end event. We definately would attend if it were a two or three day deal. HEMI JOE

Perfect then! Problem solved= Come for the Friday night heads up and enter into open comp (or one of the heads up classes if your car meets the requirements), Come Saturday and race at Mopar day and then stick around for the Sunday bracket race.

There a 3 day event with a great Mopar event in the middle! See you there?

^^^ What he said. The Friday night Heads Up racing is worth going to just to spectate. Tons of crazy fast cars that are a blast to watch.

Never fails. If I don't go cause of the weather. It will be just cloudy all day. If I go it will rain like crazy all day. Spent over 7-1/2 hours rubbing the car out & waxing it getting it ready for Woodward, of course got poured on for a few hours there too.

Called the track, they said they have all day to run the event...didn't mention reschedule.

Car count was way down, but we still had fun. I ran Lonnie in a time trial, first time I ever went against him. Heard he won Trophy class?

Thanks Doug for the 340 number on the windshield, I was the envy of the small block guys.

Sorry Chief, didn't make it to your pit for the chips, hubby was getting fried in the sun and we needed to leave. Poor guy is burnt to a crisp.
