Mopar Thunder at Bristol - 08/28/11 09:42 PM

Just wondering how many Moparts members are coming to Bristol for Mopar Thunder this weekend?
We'll be there all weekend.

...and has anyone heard from Kermit (KD) Hull?

Thats one awesome track. I was down there about a month ago with my son for the Eastern Conference Finals. I would like to go but will be at Norwalk for the 10 grand race. Good luck to all that attend.

Come on out Davey, just tow money...we sleep in the trailer at Bristol. They have very nice showers. All run races fri & sat w/ T-n-T on fri for $80. Payout fri $1,500 W, $600 RU, sat $2,000 W, $750 RU, and pays back 8 places both days. Sunday Pro (footbrake) entry $40, payout $1,500 W, $600 RU, pays 8 places plus rd money after 2nd. And a good time for all. Would love to have 2009 IHRA World Champion race with us!

(and no, I haven't tried your converter yet, I got mine back, but I do want to try yours)

Re: Mopar Thunder at Bristol - 09/01/11 11:16 PM

No Mopar Thunder for me. Checking the car over before loading it onto the trailer, started the motor to check the timing and it is making a weird noise. Sounds sort of like a rod knocking but not like any I have heard before. What makes me mad is I have had weeks to find this and fix it but I thought everything was fine, and I have a 340 under the bench ready to go in, BUT NOOOOO, I have to wait till the day before to find out.

I'm sure you guys can have fun without me, but I may come Sunday just to be with my Mopar buds.
