Mounting FP regulator?

Mounting FP regulator? - 08/28/11 05:48 PM

I've got a Mallory 4309 regulator and where I want to mount it is about 10"-12" away from the exhaust manifold. Is this going to be too close? I really wanted to mount it on the firewall but I would like to keep the high pressure side out of the engine comp. as much as possible just incase of a leak. I'm running a walbro pump so I've got a fair amount of pressure....

Not on the fire wall, against nhra rules. A foot from headers is fine.

I would, and do, mount the regulators in front of the carb instaed of behind it
