Alchohol Timing ??? - 08/25/11 02:30 AM

I switched from 110 to Alky . Would there be any difference in what to set the timing at or plug gap ?

I use about .005 less gap and about 2*-3* less timing.I havent really noticed much difference though.

The plugs is the same gap but you can go colder on the plugs if you won`t and the timing is about the same my 572 run the best at 38 degree but at 35 degree about the same a lean out valve is a must to warm the car up. GOOD LUCK

34 deg timing, keep the gap .035 or less. I lost some good power and tyook me forever to figure out it was the plug gap... They were .045+ slowed down a bunch...

15.1/1 compression, 440-1 heads, alky, .025 to .027 to .032 gaps tried, all work well. Timing 34 degrees, all timing marks dead on. NGK -9 plugs.
