Ford and Chevy have a grey silicone that works great. OE's use it everywhere on newer engines with no gaskets-Duramax top ends are practically held together by it.
Try that. Otherwise make sure housing flange true, good holes etc....

I dont use a gasket on my 8 3/4... I run a bead of
Mopar black silicone and put the 3rd in place but only
make the bead flat(about .020 or so) from it being
tight then let it set up over night then tighten it
up the next day... I also go around each stud with
the silicone
