hemi camshaft

Is there any difference between a hemi camshaft, and say a 440 camshaft? I have head guys saying they put a hemi cam in a 440, and it will run better.

Honestly just curious i guess.

I think you need to find other people... Hemi and Wedge cams are not interchangeable.

Hemi lobes are IEIEIEIE
Wedge lobes are EIIEEIIE

That makes sense seeing how the rocker arrangement is on a hemi.
