I run an evac system and full exhaust! my sensor is right in the x pipe! no issues at all and the plugs read what the wideband is saying. Id imagine with open headers and the sensor right behind the evac nipple could give false readings...

Im just saying what mine does not arguing with ya! I drive on the street alot testing and pull plugs all the time! had my SV1 apart SEVERAL times even changing orifice sizes in the main body! my plugs were dead rich when my wideband said it! I have a good clean street tune now and the plugs look great! when im running rich my sensor looks like a rich plug! when im running good the sensor is clean like a plug would be! I set my car up rich before going to the track and drove to a car show and played around some on the street! whenever my SV1 is too rich it stumbles for a hair going from part throttle to getting on it... and yes when I checked them plugs they were way rich (just sayin)
here is one vid from testing on the street! with the way the thing bounces around some not sure how you would say its off one way or the other! I think its a great tool and lets me know what going on"ish" I guess

Put the bung in BEFORE/up stream of the evac

Mr.P
I'm also interested on the right way to mount the sensor.
Do you have a picture or something to referate to the mounting point.
My car is a dart with 340, doug headers and 3 " exhaust system, should it be down on top of the collector?
Thanks
