PM me and I'll give you a list of specs I need and
I'll run your engine through my header program

You guys who can build headers on cars are my heros. I can do almost everything else but that. I tried once and ended up with a mess. That's a skill that I truly admire-and have no problem paying for.

Re: building headers - 08/15/11 05:33 PM

I built these from a Hedman headders weld-up kit, saved me some time. Had b1bs heads on the 540 at that time.
Had to cut up some of the tubes to get the collector where I wanted.
Size is 2 1/4"

Its sorta like doing puzzles... the ones I made(but
have made alot of headers) are within .1 on total
length of each other

Those are all some really nice examples.

Mike your headers are AWESOME. Great work!
I've always been afraid to attempt this but I guess I need to jump in and start somewhere.

They really look just like any top shelf header once coated too.
I have a dakota and headers are hard to find. I have mids right now and want to do a set of long tubes eventually.

DIY can save a lot in this area.

Thanks
Headers are fairly easy to do... most of the time
its about getting them to fit the area allowed and
be able to get them in and out and still try to keep
them equal length... some times you have to give
up something to get them to fit and most times thats
the equal length
