electric water pump ?

I installed a mre electric water pump on my 512 this is the type that goes into the stock type houseing similer to the moroso style when I installed it i took a tstat and cut the center out and used it as a restricter Im beging to think maybe I should have left it out the car seems to warm up quicker then i think it should and im guessing the flow is borderline at best and I slowed it down more.Anybody experiance this also? Thanks

This is just me i have a jegs pump just like that i would say take it out it will run a little cooler i think. GOOD LUCK.

I did the same thing years ago and gutted my t-stat w/my Moroso pump and my heap stays cool here in Desert.................
