Well it's time! just been bored and needed a break really and havent really cared much and just working and street cruising...... I always wanted to run 9's on pump gas/motor only and not use slicks....(just been my personal street car goal deal)... hopefully everything works out and have no problems whatsoever! stressed and exited I guess

Only got 2 good passes and blew the tires off the other 2 .... Was a good day that and nothing broke!
I accidently kicked a wire from under the dash and couldn't get her to start for a while ugh!

I'll post a vid when I get home! Never messed with timing and left it at 34* and all on 93 pump gas

Went 6.18/9.72 111.06/138.55 - 1.40 60ft at 2350 DA that run. I feel I got a good bit left but real happy first time out

I noticed the right rear car was sagging when we unloaded when got home.,, had hard time getting car off trailer from collector hanging up that side! Maybe explains why couldn't hook last 2 passes! Somethings up ...

thats what im talkin about,,u gave that BIG TIRE RACE CAR (camaro) all he could handle and then some with a street car..small tire! thats how i feel when i race a bb stage V1 HEADED meth injected charger and beat it by 1/2 a track..ps nice lookin ride

Good deal...how about a run down of your ride and what's been done since the last time it was out? Seems to me I remember you hurt some stuff and then fixed it / made some changes..(?)

I did not say there was anything wrong with going .98 or .99. He went .72 which to me is a solid 9 sec car. As far as my car not being in the 9`s. That is just a better 60' time away. I run consistant mph of 132-133 which should be enough. Sorry if I offended you it was not my intent.

sounds like fun! I'll be there Ill let ya know when! went 9.81 shifting at 6800 off the trailer against the green camaro with a 1.43 60ft also(I was nervous and his window said 9.98 so If I hooked and went down with him I had a chance at my 9) then shifted 7200 next pass and made 2 clicks on the afco doubles and went 1.40 60 and went the 9.72(2350 DA)..... last 2 passes tires blew up in smoke

told all my buddies I go a 9.7 first day out and break nothing i'd be happy and thats what happened! I think they said air got to about 1600 last pass and feel I could have got a 9.6x without touching the car! oh well lots of tuning left

NO It was my first time ever running in the 9's! and NO track didnt say anything! Ill worry about saftey upgrades and other stuff over winter!

PRP is a pretty user friendly track and will not jump in your face the second you do something wrong especially on test and tune night. They will usually approach you in the lanes after it is brought to their attention. A friend of mine had his small block chevy street truck there Thursday night with a set of Dart plat heads and a intake I just finished porting and cranked out a 11.05. He also raced yesterday and will be told soon to get a cage or slow it down. Sometimes these crazy cars are harder to slow down than it is to make them go fast.

they did say something to my buddy and his neon where we were pitted! after he went 10.69 @ 138 his first pass and all he had was a 4 wheeler helmet(they made him borrow a helmet)! thats it! they picked out everything wrong with his car which was everything safety wise... but they let him run that night and he got a new best of 10.39 @ 140! not sure they will send him a tech card in the mail or let him run again without safety upgrades....

thx guys and yes it was pittsburg! I put in the /6 888-889 T bars... checked cranking pressures and all were close realtively and the highest was only 170. I did hook up an oberg system also! Im gonna try some more motor passes before hooking up any nitrous and ill start out small there regardles... I was just launching off idle and will get up on converter next time to see how that goes....maybe try 2 step also but not too much at once

Congrats on the 9 second time slip. Just for comparison:

9.72/6.18 = 1.573 right in line with typical numbers
sixty target = 9.72x0.12 +0.17 = 1.34

That might be a result of a street/strip compromise (gear, converter, tires, chassis, staging rpm, etc.) But overall a very good first day, IMO.
