Yes it will work .

He will have to press out the old bushings from the block and install the proper keyed lifter bores .

Keyway lifters are no a drop in part .

the block was machined and set up for the keyway lifters ..he just didnt know if he could push rod oil..first build of this kind for him...just trying to make sure of whats the best way to go about some things ....do you guys think the push rod oil is better then the spray bar oil set up????whats the pros and cons of both

If you are starting from scratch then pushrod oiling is by far the best .

as long as the block is drilled for pushrod oiling he can, if its not nobody will want to drill it with the lifter holes drilled.

I just bought a new block to pushrod oil mine. works great will never do another mopar without pushrod oiling.

the back of the block where the cam goes will have 2 holes in line with where the lifters go about 10 and 2 oclock. or the easiest way is look in the hole where the lifter goes if there is a hole passing thru the top going from front to back thru all of the lifter bores it is.

not sure if you are saying the hole in the lifter bore is going to the back or not but when you look at the block and the lifter bores it is a small hole in the bushing of the lifter bores.. mike

take some picturs, one of the back of the block and one inside view of the lifter bore and we can tell you from there.
