I don't think there is an "off the shelf" set one can buy.

I've seen some that use a shorty header and mount the turbo to the engine on a plate. The header& pipe don't support the turbo, just feed it.

Ain't happening. Not even a smallblock! Most are using stock mannies flipped. I had to build mine from the Jegster Header kit and ebag flanges and mandrel bends. There is ONE company making a complete twin kit for B and RB. It is Pricey!

Who is it that makes the header kit? Everything seems pricey nowadays anyway.

This the complete kit,

Looks alot like my passenger side header but my driverside is a log style. This kit has a waaay smaller turbo though! I had to get a 5" dp out.

Sorry! I noticed that this was for a smallblock. I guess there is no "Kit" per-say for bigblocks.
I spent $119 for the header kit from Jegs and found the flanges on ebay for around $50. Then I purchased the two 3" mandrel bend assortment kits from ebay as well for $70 per kit.

Which body is the engine in? I have a set I made for a 440 in an A body that I'd be willing to sell. I'm runing an Hemi now and don't have much use for them. The wastegate flange is for a Turbonetics Racegate. They're for a single turbo with T6 flange. They fit pretty well in an A-body but would work great in anything bigger (B or E). I have the turbo I'd sell also. It an 85 MM TV8101. Let me know.

Re: turbo headers on big block - 07/22/11 02:54 PM

It's in a e body with no fender aprons

My headers would work very well for you then.

I would like to see what your headers look like mocked up even for reference sake as a single turbo.

Not to steal the thread, but this is my low deck in an a-body with the a 106mm, stock inner fenderwells, 2" pri into 3" crossover in to the t6 flange

Re: turbo headers on big block - 07/23/11 04:26 AM

What size engine do you have. Wondering what kind of turbo I should use on my 500. I like your setup with the single. I am shooting for 8.5's which what would be allowed with the cage I have.

Re: turbo headers on big block - 07/24/11 12:17 AM

if your looking to do it on a budget, get a standard 106mm, which is what i started with on my 500" lowdeck it made good power

Car went 8.90s leaving on no and rolling to about 10lbs of boost by the end of the run.

We built our headers, so if you need help let me know

I actually emailed them a week ago to find out and this is the email I just got today:

"The full kit with a t70 runs $3200 and comes complete with everything you need
minus fuel and ignition. Add about $1000 for an A/W intercooler. Please call the
shop and we can discuss your combo and performance goals."

Re: turbo headers on big block - 08/01/11 02:59 PM

$3200, not much cheaper than a S/C set-up. Of course that's if you buy one "pre-made" Is a T-70 enough for a BB?

Re: turbo headers on big block - 08/01/11 06:20 PM

marginal for a street 383. Wouldn't be bad on a 361
Posted By: CW25

Re: turbo headers on big block - 08/11/11 04:02 AM

Even for the street I wouldn't put a T70 on anything much above a 318. Compressor is big enouph but the hotside is pretty small.

Re: turbo headers on big block - 02/17/14 03:02 AM

Are you able to build a set of those turbo headers for a indy head 440rb?

Re: turbo headers on big block - 02/17/14 04:35 PM

Any body try the "lego" kit from Summit? Not sure what it's called but they send you a bunch of plastic pieces and you from up how you want the headers...then you send it back and the company builds your set. I think they are like $800. A tad expensive but for people like me w/ zippy welding skills might be a good idea.

The words "Cheap , easy , bolt on, and kit " cannot go in the same sentence as "turbo ".

8.50s,500",turbo. Non of those go very well with the word "Budget". If you are unable or unwilling to even build headers or know how to figure out what size turbo you need I would pause now. Ask some serious questions and get a dollar estimate from those who have done it. This is a complicated build to get right. Parts used will determine how many 8.50 passes it makes. How much does the car weigh? At 3300lbs your gonna need 1200hp. Not trying to discourage, just look before you leap.
