Anyone running HS rockers with Indy SR or -1 heads

Anyone running HS rockers with Indy SR or -1 heads - 06/29/11 06:10 PM

I'm going to order a new set of HS rockers next week (replacing some 440 source one) and I need to figure out what pushrods I need. Unfortunately, I don't have a pushrod length checker. My block has never been decked (nor have the heads), so I figure that if some one else out there has a SR or -1 set-up with the HS rockers the length should be the same. I realize that should probably measure, but if someone has the same set-up, I don't really see how the geometry would be different.
Thanks in advance for any help (even those of you who will inevitably tell me to stop being so cheap/lazy and measure ).

To get the lengths corectly you really need to measure your motor with a checking pushrod I have Harland Sharps on my 440-1 , they need two different lengths to get them perfect, exhausts are shorter than the intakes because the intake rocker arms are offset   My SR heads use a different type(ball and ball) and length than the 440-1 do because I used a set of single shaft T&D on them What type of spring pressure are you using now? Do you know the specs on the two different pushrods you used? especially the ones that bent or broke Are you using a flat tappet solid lifter, hydraulic flat tappet lifter or solid roller lifters? It makes a difference on which pushrod wall thickness you should use

Sorry for the lack of information. The current cam that I have is the Comp XE295HL (.564"/.564" and 251/257 duration, if I remember correctly). The springs are what came stock on the heads (allegedly, good to .600" lift). I've got 9.5" ball/cup pushrods with my 440 Source rockers right now, and they seem too long. The cups have cut a little into the rockers (which leaves Al shavings, which obviously isn't good). I've got SR heads, which (as you know) don't require the offset rockers.
