Finally

Finally - 06/18/11 09:23 PM

Hit the nines with a little help from friend nitrous.
I wanted a 9.99 since we haven't run for our licence, but I think the 5 second delay was a tad too soon...

We'll take it though.

Well congrats I guess. Nothing personal but I used to have a tag on the front of my Duster that said "Just Say No To N2O" it's like drugs to your engine.

Second pass on NO2 but fuel press. must have been off.

Car ran 10.32@130mph on the motor, last week.
Pretty simple setup. It's still fairly close to it's street roots.
Engine is W5 headed with 12.5 cr. with Callies crank and rods so it will sustain the high r's if needed. Victor S and Dominator on top. Block is a MP resto with 4 bolt main. We've changed out the old cam for a Bullet with a tad more overlap and dur.
It's an NOS Cheeter System '150-250 plate' which we set at the 150hp. And we use a MSD timing module to dictate 'when' the nitrous should activate, which is 5.15 seconds into the pass. We'd like to run it sooner in the run,and then off mid pass, to keep the speeds down, a bit, and still hit the nine's but we haven't figured a way to wire that part into it.
The spool is a 4:30 gear with cal tracks and 10'' tires. We added coil overs and comp shocks last year up front.
I'll admit that I'm no tuner, and a more gifted tuner could coax better times out of this thing.
