Heads up race this Sat at Ohio Valley Dragway!!! 6-11

Just wanted to remind everyone about the 1st Annual Mopar Small Tire Throwdown heads up race this Saturday June 11th at Ohio Valley Dragway in Louisville, KY. It's an all Mopar race for street legal/stock appearing type Mopar cars with small tires. We are gonna see just who is the top dog in the True Ten Five/Drag Radial Mopar world this weekend!

Several cars will be there early on Friday for testing and some grudge race action. On Friday gates open at 6pm and racing starts then and goes til 11pm.

Saturday June 11th gates open at 2pm with time tuns starting at 3pm. There will be a Mopar car show at this race also with judging at 6pm. Racing will start around 7pm.

MOPAR SMALL TIRE THROWDOWN

This is for street legal stock appearing Mopar bodied and Mopar powered cars and trucks

It will be an 1/8 mile race

.400 pro tree

Mufflers required except on turbo cars

All Run – If more than 16 cars qualify, there is a possibility we will run two separate fields

Blind Draw – Car numbers will be drawn out of a hat for pairings

Open Time Runs start at 3pm - get as many as you want

Lane choice in 1st round will be determined by coin flip, lane choice for every round after that will be determined by the quickest et from previous round

Weights:
3300 – Big Block Power Adder
3100 – Small Block Power Adder
3000 – Big Block N/A
2800 – Small Block N/A

Body/Chassis:
Stock Appearing Mopar Cars/Trucks only
Stock Appearing interior
Firewall must be in stock location
Must have stock front frame rails
Any rear suspension allowed
No tube chassis cars or all out race cars
Wheelie bars allowed

Tires:
29.5 x 10.5 non W slicks or smaller
315/325 drag radial tire or smaller

Engines/Power Adders:
Any engine size/combo allowed as long as it is Mopar based
Any head allowed
Blowers/Prochargers – Any size allowed
Turbos – Any size turbo allowed, single or twin
Nitrous – Multiple stages allowed
No combination of power adders (can’t have blower and nitrous for example)


PAYOUT

Winner - $1,500 + trophy + M/T 29.5 x 10.5S slicks
Runner Up - $750
Semis - $325
Quarters - $200
1st round losers - $100

*NO Splitting in the final round!*

$500 to the first car to run in the 4’s during eliminations
$500 extra to the winner of the race if using Predator heads
New set of M/T 29.5 x 10.5S slicks to the winner

$50 entry fee for car and driver which will go towards the purse
$10 entry fee for each spectator/crew member which will go to the track

If there ends up being a second field we will determine a payout based on entry fee money after the qualifying rounds.

I had to make a couple small adjustments to the payout because we lost some sponsor money along the way but I cut it as little as I could. The above posted payout is the corrected version.

FYI.....any of you guys that plan to come and spectate, we will be needing a little bit of help with all the logistics of this race. Its just me and my dad with our car so it will be tough for us to handle everything and race the car at the same time. We may need some help keeping up with what et's everyone ran, who won and lost each round, etc so that we can keep everything straight on the payouts and prizes. I've never actually put on a race before, just participated so I'm sure there are some things that will come up that I haven't planned for or thought about yet. Thanks in advance....

I'm bringing a friend of mine so we'll be able to help out.......I've got my two boys going also (ages 10 and 13)......
