Looks awesome!

You may have though of this but it would be fairly easy to pull the grills and at least give em a rattle can flat black on the black part

Definitely have to do the shark's tooth grille. The silver Valiant at SGMP looked awesome with that grill!

I know, that where I got the idea. but the dang things are so expensive. Woody just tols me I have to change the hood also and will need all the hardware that goes with them.

yeah a sharkstooth grille will look good but that means you also have to change the hood and the lower grill piece to a true duster hood since they are not the same.

the pics don't do the color any justice,it has a 408 stroker with eddy heads on it right now, 727 with an 8"TA converter, dana 60 with 456 gears but I will have to change those for the street. don't know what Jimmy had in mind with those short tires on the street that thing would be turning 8k on the highway

yea no kidding but not worth a flip to drive down to orlando and visit you guys. would love to do speed week next year. you may have to put the duster on the street and join in if you don't sell it. can't believe no one has bought that thing at that price

Is Hooker still in busines? They make or made a 1.75 Super Comp header. I like the Heddmans though. You have plenty of cubes you could go 1.875 easy. I've had 2 sets of these, one standard port and one round port with adapter plates. They do hang down a little but since they come apart you can take them off and on in a matter of minutes. But one tube on each side is outside the frame rail.

Your car looks great, I like the grille it has, it's unique.

Re: Valiant is home - 06/07/11 04:32 AM

BEAUTY EH!? I just bought a 1967 Valiant myself... And I bought those same wheels. LOL. No worries, I will be putting the wheels on the Aspen.

Very sharp looking unit. can't wait to see it all finished. I personally like the 67 grill the best. it is unique. The shark tooth is a nice looking piece too.
