Demon is home - 06/04/11 02:57 PM

Got my new car delivered this AM

Not real happy it wont run

Driver drove it on the trailer down south, but we try and start it here and no spark

Not sure yet why.

Car is about how i expected, super solid, no bondo, but there is a little bubbling right on the bottom of the passenger quarter, and a little bubbling right in front of the passenger rear tire as well...other than that, solid. The paint wont be able to be made presentable, definately needs squirted.

Any quick way to rule out why not getting spark???

Re: Demon is home - 06/06/11 03:25 PM

Ran a wire from the battery to the coil and it fired up...It didnt turn over with the key to begin with, so i figured i had to replace the ignition switch...it now appears the ignition switch is definately bad, as i think that is all that is in front of the coil, correct????

Got Doctors appointments for my hip later this morning and tomorrow, so she is gonna have to wait.

The only pictures i have are in a link on my post about getting here from EBAY.....she isnt all that pretty , that is for sure

Don told me to tell you all that he is too "dumb" to post pics on his own so I am doing it for him. This is for all you nay-sayers that need to see pics before believing it's home....:)

Looks like a straight, solid piece Don. I like it.

Now, get out the sponge and 600 grit.

Are you V2318W1 now?

TRUST ME...the paint looks better in the pictures than in person...looks like it was painted with a dirty mop

I dont have a clue about a handle, i still honestly havent figured out what i am gonna do with this thing yet....

I am enamoured with a gen 3 hemi..but..

Might put a healthy 340 in it and drive it a while

might put a 416 together with good eddies and a flat tappet like my first motor and still drive it around a lot

Bayshore has a pump gas hemi for sale ( enginemasters motor)

Might leave this tired 318 in it and make guys fall asleep chasing me down at US131

List of things i know i am not gonna do

1. Put a big block in it

Looks like a nice solid start.

If my eagle eye hasn't let me down......the lower rt balljoint has some excess play there.

Re: Demon is home - 06/07/11 01:11 AM

red with centerlines is my favorite. Not sure I would go at it with 600 grit though. May want to start with 1500. Red all ways cleans up nice anyways.

Enjoy.
