Back in the saddle tomorrow. - 06/04/11 02:13 AM

Hopefully will finish up car tomorrow and get to the race track to see if all is well since the accident at trails 2 weeks ago. Picked up my converter tonight and got my driveshaft checked, and all is okay. Hopefully the motor will fire without problem and I can make some shakedowns to ensure the chassis still works okay. I will be doing the 1/8th mile thing for starters. It has been a busy 2 weeks but here is what I have done.
Step 1. Remove old transmission and converter
2. Have converter inspected and driveshaft tested
3. Install new rear slicks
4. remove diff cover and inspect ring and pinion(okay)
5. Pulled the axels and inspect for twist(okay)
6. Replace rear rotors and pads
7.Install left front fender and realign the front fenders and bumper on mounting brackets.
8. realign and new dzus tabs on front end to resquare hood.
9. Use my bottle jack to push quarter panel back into shape and allow the deck lid to be refastened.

So all that is left is to install A+A brake valve body in fresh transmission, and reinstall in car. Put fluid in, and see if vehicle fires okay.
Wish me luck, results to be posted tomorrow. If I have time I may install my new terminator button and make some bottom bulb hits too.

Cool, good to hear and hope it all goes well for you. I'm still curious about why the brake engaged though, did you ever come up with a reason why?
