My on Mallory Unilites is don't use them , They (the light)will fail without warning I ahev seen it happen way to many tiimes for it to be a odd occurance, way to many times. You would be better off with a stock point distributor Any progress on getting that intake and carb. set up running yet?

could be. what voltage are you getting on the brown wire while you are cranking it? the blue wire should be around 9 volts with the key in the run postions. but i do agree with cab i dont really care for the unalite dist. i ahd one in a small block dart that just quit for some reasion.if you can get a stock dist i have a accel 300+ you can have.

here is the wireing diagram for the car you are working on.

and here is the one for a 73 abody with electronic voltage regulator

Re: MALLERY/ACCEL question - 06/07/11 05:09 AM

1969 was not a good year for Mopar cars wiring, especially the engine and under the hood harnesses I would, and do, recommend disconnecting the firewall gang plug and all the harnesses off of the firewall and clean all the contacts, both female and the males and then use dialectric grease on both sides when you reassemble it
