Congrats to AJ " Hemituner"!
3rd pass is the record

AJ daily drives this car and attends alot of Atco rentals.

Last year he just put the cage in, drive 120 miles to Atco - clicked off several 10 second passes and driver 'er home!

pretty sweet,he did some work on my dads srt,the same srt is going to

There was one @ the MATS that went 9.90's @ 141+ mph.. 3000' DA.

Don't know what was done to it, but it was awfully impressive..

That is really truckin for N/A car. I have only seen boosted cars in the 9's as well.

That's really cool

The fastest normally aspirated LX/LC I'm currently aware of is Dave Thomas 9.43 @ 143.90.

The fastest boosted LX/LC I am currently aware of is
the Direct Connection Test Car 9.24 @ 146.83.

But, neither one is street driven.

Lots of folks are out there going after it, and all that will probably change real soon

Isnt Dave Thomas running a V-10? Dont know I would consider that in the same category but there are several drag pak cars well in the nines. Obviously not street driven though.

Someone might know more about it that was at the MATS..

It looked street driven, but I can't be sure. It was either B5 blue or Plum Crazy Purple. I can't remember. There were SO many fast ones there.

There was also an Orange one that went 10.0's @ 139+..

I was quite impressed to say the least..

Naturally Aspirated as in a stock fuel injection 2007 car.

that cars weight was 4200 i am sure about and its using a f1 procharger with a 300 shot on top of that 17 pounds its making

Yeah, I didn't think it was stock. LOL

I know you have a lot of experience with these cars, so how long can they survive with that kind of power added? I am assuming it is all aftermarket block and all. I saw a yellow challenger at arringtons a couple weeks ago that also had a procharger and it was on the spray.

as far as weight, I read 4500 race weight on another site somewhere, but hey, 4200 is still quite heavy in my book.

ive known of only one to split the block at that power level. they seem to be holding up fine.

there are only two options on blocks. first is a stock iron production casting.
the second is the mopar perf. aluminum block.

there are 6.1 iron block strokers out there making a tad over 1000 at the wheels these days. its not the normal occurance but still happening.

the classes they run in these days will allow them to drop down to a 4000 race weight btw, the transmissions are made by mercedes and the same units that went into the sl65 cars. so witha few upgraded sl65 hard parts inside them they will handle 1200 ft lb with ease.

the rears are becoming an issue now. some are bolting in 9 inch and 8.8 ford center sections. aj recently dumped a getrag 225 mm unit on the launch pad dropping the clutch at 4200 i heard. im not sure whos car that was though. it should be in the video i posted on the other post. maybe not.
