Was wondering if having 7.5-8 inches of vacuum at idle too much?
I haven't read my gauge going down track since installing my new Star standard vacuum pump.
36 tooth pulley on pump with a 18 tooth mandel pulley.

The only number that really matters is the maximum vacuum you are pulling. To much vac and you can smoke the wrist pins. Mine only carries about 4-5 inches at idle, but is set to 12 inches max.
