Pistons, pins, and rings ended up just under 1400$
Pistons are for a 4.570 bore.
Pistons weighed in at 611 grams. Although these pistons don't have oil ring buttons but a special ring that does the same job which saved 32 grams that other pistons would have added on to them. The special ring they give now only weighs 8 grams.
We went with 180 wall pins weighing in at 171grams.
This is a truck pulling engine so it see's 8000rpm for 80% of the run and Gary at J/E didn't want to go any lighter on the pins.

Sadly that's just what they cost:(. Called a few places and for what I needed they were pretty much the cheapest for the quality:)

My Custom Diamond piston/ pin/ ring package was about the same...
I used .185" wall tool steel pins as well.
Diablo, I think you chose well. The weight of the pistons is not as important as the strength in a combo like yours!

D ... never had a set of pistons done like this myself .. but I thought that a typical set was 8 huN or so. I see that your ring-pack is way low .... also see those deep gas-ports.
They are some nice looking pieces ...
