Atco Raceway - Monday May 2nd - PIX? - 03/26/11 11:34 PM
I rented the track and have spots left currently - they spots are 200 per car all day ( 9 :30 till 4:30 )
There will be a NHRA Tech inspection unlike previous years, so make sure you can run the times you can safely.
I'd like to nail things down in the next few weeks - first come - first serve - so if you want a spot let me know!

i'd love to go,but i have to see what the chassis guy says we have to finish a few minor tech issue's(very minor issue) and my hood...i will know this week,maybe even get my liscense that day, if some guys would sign off on it

Andy - I dont think it would be an issue getting someone to sign off - I see people doing it all the time at rentals - it's actually the best time to do it.

Wow I would love to go Dave but I have 2 problems right now. I am jobless and I want to get my new eng done before I race again. Dont know if either will be done by May. I hope so but I can only seem to work on my eng on days when my back does not hurt to bad. Ron

had a great time thanks Dave for putting it together..day went well for me picked up a mile mph in the 1/8 and through the 1/4...when i get this bad boy to launch like a race car and not a UPS truck! look out

it was great seeing everybody. Sucks that my car took a dump. Turned out it ate he rear bowl vent. A couple of valves and a piston and i'll be back!

Thanks! I was really bummed. I usually don't touch my car at the track that much and testing those new bowls really had me frustrated. We learned alot believe it or not but have no clue why it left the carb.
Biggest thing that bothered me is i didn't get to see anybody or their runs.

I pulled into a station to get fuel and these guys were working on the tanks and blocking half the place. So i scootched up close to them so i could swing into the pumps and ran one of there cones over. You would think i ran them over. after a couple of minutes of them screaming at me i got out and told them they were lucky i didn't run them over. no big thing to me they were cones! they told me i didn't know how to drive, I told them they were correct thats why i ran the cone over, then told them i do know how to be self employed, got in my truck and left.

Im sorry I missed it all I had so much going on is the past 2 weeks I just opened up my 2nd car wash and I had to be there but in a few weeks once things start running on its own I can focus on getting to the track.. I cant wait to get behind the driver seat again... Dave im glad Barry and Ferdi made it to your rental I heard they had a great time...

Thanks Dave... I had a real blast. I will try to be in on the next one. When else can you test and tune with 12 runs in one day (we could have done 30 if you wanted to).

JOHNRR I changed the scoop because I had no choice. There was no way I could see anything with the tall cowl.
Dave if you would have read my post on the water pump problem it is a common problem being air bound and many here have had it happen. The pump is fine. Same as for the oil pump comment. posted the info in what you quoted restricted baffle in the vacuum pump caused that. Nothing wrong with pump.
For a guy who was technical editor I would expect that you would have paid more attention.

thanks boys i had a blast,i did learn a good thing and dont laugh,that new cheetah shifter that i was trying to baby cause its sensitive,actually needs to get smacked..was hitting shift purnts dead on after 3rd pass...o yea tiny reajust to the cal tracs had her hookin nice...and ps it does 60 like a ups truck 1.43's i get them in the mid 1.30's and she will exceed my expectations...and o yea PIZZA i will pickup in bensonhurst on the way to the next rental

unfortunately Fred never tripped the stage bulb so the run was not recorded.
