Although I agree with your point, another way to look at it is like replacing your 1 ton cast iron water pump housing with an alloy one, both do exactly the same job except one is lighter.. iv got the car down to 2880lb now and its still all steel with wind up windows, anymore weight saving has to be a plus even if the cost is not. its like removing the headlining or cuting the lip off the k frame or plastic head lights or a lightend sun shell or removing the anti intrution bars or drilling 1 1/2" holes underneth the doors etc etc, it dos'nt realy save alot of weight but it dose save weight if yaknow what I mean? if there is a weight saving in the bottom arms at all lets hear it...

8lbs is not much of a saving but you wouldnt add any pounds if you dont have to.

so if they dont save 8 lbs how much do they save if any at all?

you're looking for 1/2lb weight saving but still have all steel racecar with wind up windows?????? i can definately see better places to spend money to save weight. 5 years ago at mopar sunday you ranted to everyone how great this car was but we still haven't seen it. why don't you bring it to the track, race it, then work on the development it needs to be compeditive & spend your money more wisely instead of looking in a catalogue for things that won't improve your e.t. any significant amount? you might be too old to race if you continue at this rate.

i said that to him years ago Raven, best you get your zimmer frame bladder bag mounted if you ever expect to see him race that car. you'll need some spare bladder bags while your pssn yourself watching a senior citizen race in super street with all the whistles & bells that don't equate to speed. at least he'll look cool with his window wound down.
