What do we like for torque convertors? Recommendations - 03/18/11 03:47 PM

I have made the decision to remove the manual trans in my car and go back to an automatic. I am looking at hitting the track a little more. The car ran 120mph+ with the manual, but would never ET for a multitide of reasons.

Stock weight 68 B body
440 with box stock eddy heads
Comp .488/.491 cam
Torker II intake
Procharger with 8 psi and water/methanol injection.
3.54 gear

What kind of torque convertor should I be looking at? Some say low stall/tighter, some say higher stall/looser. The car is 75% cruiser/25% racer, so I can livve with something that may not be the greatest on the street. I just want something that will let me see the potentail of the car.

Thanks!!

X 4. I have lately used PTC's too, and also recommended them to my friends. Think the price/quality is the best around. Even our difficult combination with a heavy car and turbos worked fine, even though we underestimated the powerlevel slightly.
