So MATS is coming up soon and was wondering who here is going to be there? I might be making the trip out to drop off a car for a client. Are there going to be any get togethers like breakfast at the cannery or ?. Please post if interested in getting together....Phill

It now has a PS Hemi, and a different hood scoop, because of the tunnel ram. Here is a newer pic....

Mrs G-bob and I will be there. Still thrashing to get her car finally done. Motor's in, but lots of stuff to do yet. Got to finish wiring, front suspension, drive shaft, front brakes, all glass, weatherstripping, incidentals and full interior.
Fall back will be to bring the racecar, but I've been promising that her car will be done for too many years now.

I know you too well Ricky.. Its kinda hard to drive a car on the freeway when you have the rev limiter set to 2000...

I'll be there this year...obviously not with a car due to my location
Managed to get permission from wife to arrange family vacation to include both the NHRA race and MATS
For MATS, will be there Fri with wife and 3 year old twins
Be there Sat by myself to watch the racing, see the cars, and buy parts
If I recognise any of you guys from your cars I will say Hi!

The Putitia and I will make a showing! LOOKING forward to seeing all the MOPARTS Crew! We really should try and meet somewhere for a BS session. Breakfast didn't work out too well last time we tried? Maybe we should meet at AL's rig for a cold one at least? What you guys say?

Who has some pull with the promotor, GBob? I'm wondering about parking (for us, Unlawfuls))is the reason I'm asking I was in the hospital last year due to a infection from shoulder surgery so I didn't get involved. I am planning on being there year so what say you, any one want to try to get us a spot near the staging lanes and bathrooms, say 30 to 50 pit spaces? Last time I treid I got some locals upset when I challenged them on parking in our area

Just finished buying a house. Look forward to getting together with you guys I only get to see once a year.
Be happy to host a hangout or get together spot. I will be running Q16 again this year, So will probably be pitting with them again. Gonna guess with the Autocross that it will be like last year and there will not be many folks pitted on that end again this year. Kind of miss the pits we had in years past where we could all pit together. If someone has a plan that would be great. I will be getting there Wednesday night to get in line to enter Thursday.

What Al said, the autocross put a damper on our gig! The way it is setup now, you just kind of end up where they send you. Last year we were at the north end of the track, near the end of the swap area, was not too bad if you had a pit ride to get to the restrooms!!
So what day should we all meet at Al's rig for the MOPARTY? Maybe we could cook some dogs after the day is done, every one bring a chair!!

Ok so here's the deal......
If we can work it out with track management and get it into the schedule somehow.....and if you guys are up for it......I will put up $200 to the winner of a best 2 out of 3 match race between Al and that bad silver cuda. Heads up, you guys pick the handicap but it stays the same for the whole gig. Perhaps during the TNT runs or whatever. This would be an awesome race and everybody would dig it. What do y'all think???

Im in,comfirmation and credentials arrived today
My car is back together with the 518 pump gas motor with SR heads
Tiny bit of finish stuff to do, warm the motor up and check the valves, put the hood back on and align it, put the grill in and reset the rear ride hieght to match the front
What about parking? I wasn't there last year, what is this about autocross?

Like some others, my Duster is not ready, MSD in
Texas will receive my box about that time next week.
Not that it really matters, Still more stuff to finish
and I would not want to haul my car to Vegas untried.
I will be towing my buddy Kevin's blue 67 cuda to Vegas
for him and will be hanging out, shopping for parts,
watching the racing and hoping to meet other guys on
the board.
Sorry to hear that the Indio contingent is not coming
to Vegas this year.

Hey Mark, I have a ride for my last hurrah. 70aarcuda(Tony) is letting me make a farewell race in his 71 Demon. It should run low 11's which ought to be a real rush since my last 11 seconc pass was in 02 in my Barracuda.

.....back in 08 we were parked in the entry line walking around drinking beer with the rest of the early arrivals right now. One day before I know it my daughter will be gone and then I'll probably step back to drag racing to fulfill an empty void. Until then it's fastpitch softball at least 5 days a week. ok guys I made 110 spots on the left side of the main road going to the staging lanes, they are great spots and will be next to car show area.
It's first come first serve those spots and NO saving on those spots unless your other guy is in line.
Let me or Sally know at the gate you want the "Nitro Joe" Special spots and we will get you set up if there is any left.
